I have begun working on a multi-episode video series that highlights all of the wonderful things that can be found within Oconee County. In a partnership with the welcome center, I am filming several episodes over the coming year that highlight the history, recreation, arts + culture, businesses, and education that can be found here in Oconee. This is a wide-ranging project that features a lot of people and places, but I am excited for the end result. This newspaper article features the first episode of the series, a glimpse into Oconee’s past. We filmed part of it within the Eagle Tavern, recreating a scene from the 1800s to give viewers an idea of what it must have been like back then.
